Students must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled course start time. Any student who is not present and ready to begin instruction at the official start time will be considered late. Late arrivals will not be admitted to the course and will forfeit all tuition and registration fees. This policy is strictly enforced to ensure the safety, integrity, and timely execution of all training programs.
In accordance with Connecticut General Statute ยง29-161z, any individual employed as an armed security officer, whether in uniform or plain clothes, must successfully complete an approved Security Firearms Training Course using the handgun they will carry while performing their duties.
This requirement is separate from and in addition to the Criminal Justice Certification (White Card/Guard Card) course required to obtain a Connecticut Security Officer Identification Card and Class 1 Firearms Endorsement ("Blue Card").
Grey Wolf Consulting's Armed Security Firearms Certification Course is taught by a Connecticut-approved and NRA-certified Law Enforcement and Security Firearms Instructor. The curriculum meets or exceeds all training standards established by the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) for armed security officer licensing.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive the required instructor endorsements and application documentation necessary to apply for their Armed Security Officer Firearms Endorsement through the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection in Middletown, Connecticut.
