The Connecticut Guard Card / White Card course meets CGS §29-161q Basic Criminal Justice training required before applying for a Security Officer Identification Card.
The Blue Card (Armed Security Firearms Certification) and annual re-certification under CGS §29-161z are taught by approved instructors using the handgun the officer carries on duty.
Students who are new to the qualification or returning after a gap should consider the Blue Card preparatory course before the full certification or re-certification date.
